At Gem State WAI, we believe in empowering women through education and opportunities. Our organization has been providing scholarships since 1995, with a total amount of over $16 million awarded to date.

Local Scholarship Opportunities
2026 Women in Aviation Conference Scholarship
Three scholarships available!!
$750 value includes:
● Round trip airfare from Boise to Dallas
● Conference registration
● A hotel stipend
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be a WAI International member and WAI Gem State Chapter member, and must be up to date on dues before submission.
Selection Criteria:
Candidates will be selected upon basis of the following;
- Merit
- Volunteer work and involvement in aviation community
- Demonstrated financial need
Application package:
Incomplete application packages will not be considered
- One letter of recommendation, not to be written by a family member
- One 500 word essay outlining how attending the conference will help you attain your aviation goals
- Resume (no more than 2 pages) including the following:
- Work history and / or school studies
- Any educational awards or honors
- Demonstrated involvement in aviation community
